baby007 0 Posted April 4, 2013 Hi all, I want to use the optex lx-402 to trigger both outdoor light and dvr recording. I think I would need a relay to connect NO pin on the optex for triggering the light right? Do I need any diode or anything else? Thank you for your help
the toss 0 Posted April 4, 2013 You will need a relay to switch 120 or 240V. The relay contacts inside the optex will only be rated for 50V or so at an amp or two. But since your extra relay ( 240V @ 10A ) is being switched by the internal relay there is no need for a diode. (assumong the diode you are talking about is for back emf suppression )

Really appreciate it.
