EarlT 0 Posted April 8, 2013 Can someone put up real world examples of the Avigilon Adaptive IR at work? With someone walking through the field of view, how does it change? I like that there is some intelligent control of the iR. It may lead to the ability to turn it off and on via rules or alarms. My main issue with ir in cameras is moths and other insects that are attracted to it. Does the adaptive IR help here at all?
thewireguys 3 Posted April 8, 2013 The bullets and new IR domes have Adaptive and Intelligent IR. Adaptive: Avigilon adjusts the IR LEDs to automatically to match the FOV that you have the lens set to. So if you have the camera at 9MM the IR will match the 9mm FOV. Intelligent: Avigilon adjusts IR LEDS intensity so when a person or a object gets close to the camera they will not be over exposed.
