eBay DVR won't upload to FTP or send email

Hi!

 

So first of all I searched a lot on Google and this board but it's kinda hard to find informations about a product that doesn't have a real name / version number ...

 

So I bought a DVR on eBay, it works great except that it doesn't send images to FTP nor send email. They are both well configured and I don't see any problems (like firewall problem, ...)

 

I have read here ( http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=21858 ) that this guy was lucky enough to find the new firmware for his DVR and finally got FTP and email working. I'd like something like that

 

So this is my DVR:

 

In " Infos ",

System: V01.00.00.32(4CIF 128M)

Build Date: 2012-09-10 11:09:18

 

Any ideas where I could find the new firmware that fix this bug?

I have purchased on Ebay exactly the same unit with v01.00.00.32(4CIF 128M) as flash file.

I was able to configure it (with some difficulty to understand the included manual), it is working, as long as I stay within my own network.

I also configured it for outside my network. (the easy and temporary way is DMZ)

When outside my network, the DVR asked me for the username and password and the four section video Splash page would present it self, but no video.

The vendor told me it only will work with Windows explorer 7. Absolutely no further help from the vendor.

That is where I am now. No remote video.( even with explorer 7)

I have not tried email and FTP.

I noticed on the printed board GM8182T XSA V1.6.

Grain Media in Shenzhen City, 518057 China is the manufacturer of this board

I emailed them for more info and or a upgrade flash file but they have not yet Answered me .

There must be more info about this DVR because it is very frequently advertised on EBAY.

Anybody can shed some light on this no name device , would be very much appreciated.

I suggest to identify this DVR by the printed circuit board name "GM8182T"

same problem here and same dvr model does your problem solve please share us and do u have firmware update download link ? i also can't access through telnet and my own domain dddns.org -_-
