neilronaldson 0 Posted April 15, 2013 I am from South Africa, not sure where this site is situated. Bought a cctv solution from the Chinese shop here. Got everything up and running, but I don't understand the manual when trying to setup Motion Detection...Steps 1-3 are complete, but the 4th step doesn't make any sense. I need to copy it out the manual so you have a better understanding. Its a no name h.264 DVR unit. If you can explain the logic to me, i can try figure it out. HiddenMountain 0 Posted April 16, 2013 First, welcome! Now as for the instructions. My first foray into the CCTV world wasn't that long ago and I bought a new Qvis DVR. Made in China, but pretty good quality for my home system. The instructions however, were almost impossible to decipher. They had English words but were obviously translated directly from Mandarin. It was so incomprehensible as to be maddening. Now, when you say it has no identifying brand, have you opened it up and had a peek inside? Sometimes, not always though, but sometimes there is a clue as to the manufacturer on the motherboard or maybe a sticker on the tin in there. There might be model numbers that you could do a search on. And as for the logic, without some kind of ID on the unit, that's going to be tough... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
