keepsafe 0 Posted April 15, 2013 I need a surveillance camera that is weatherproof and be on 24/7 or motion detection. It have to be an IP camera because I want only PoE wiring as it is more tidier. It have to serve in severe weather condition such as rainy day, etc. Should I get dome or bullet? What brand do you recommend? I am looking at Q-See from Costco and I want to make sure I make a better choice before purchasing. Your thought?
buellwinkle 0 Posted April 17, 2013 $50 more get the Swann bullet cameras at Costco.com, $349 for two 1080P (double the resolution) and has normal lenses, like 4mm where the Q-See are 6mm and you'll be posting questions like "will this lens fit". The 1080P Q-See dome, $199 is a day camera, so as long as you have white light at night, it can work, up to you but I usually get day/night cameras for myself with built in illuminators. If you want domes, step up a little and get the ACTi D72 dome, 3MP, day/night, IR LEDs, free NVR software. Domes are more discrete and vandal resistant. Should be under $300.
