alung 0 Posted April 19, 2013 I'm looking for a NVR. There seems to be a huge market, and varied expense. What I want is a dedicated NVR, with POE, a minimum of 8 channels, and alarm inputs. I'll need disk space for at least 4 cameras. Any suggestions? including systems to stay away from?
alung 0 Posted April 19, 2013 This system looks like it has everything I'm looking for. A little expensive, but I may have to pay that to get what I want. Any comments on the device? http://www.homesecuritystore.com/p-2218-wi-snvr-8ch-8-channel-ez-ip-series-h264-nvr-w-2tb-hdd.aspx?affiliateid=10050&wm_ctID=359&wm_kwID=21942114&wm_mtID=1&wm_DefaultURL=http%3a%2f%2fwww.homesecuritystore.com%2f&source=dyn&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=pla

Kawboy12R 0 Posted April 20, 2013 Don't think you've tweaked anybody's interest or knowledge of that particular DVR to spark a response. I don't think I'd pay $1700 for a no-name NVR. Depends on the cams you want to install, but if you can live with Aver's supported IP camera list, give this one a look-see. 8ch, 4 IP cams (you did say storage for 4 cams), 4 alarm inputs, $500. Probably a bit too low end for what you're looking for though. This one might do if your need maxes out at 8mp total? It runs about $1000. The 6216 will do 16mp for $1300.
