This new dahua item NVR52xx-P looks intriguing

I just picked up the swann deal from costco...but this looks like i might be able to acomplish better for about the same cost!

I too was having a hard time finding the new NVR52XX or the DH-SVR30XX series NVRs. Up until recently there seemed to be a very big gap between the home 1080p NVRs & the enterprise class boxes. I ended up settling for the Hikvision DS-9632NI-ST, mainly due to availability & the 80Mbps video input. I will find out tomorrow how it performs.

How many cameras do you have hooked up to your unit?

Are they all Dahua cameras?

Can you tell how much bandwidth the unit is handling?. I can only assume since my current NVR3216 can only do 32Mbps, the newer NVR52XX can do about 64Mpbs.

I have 7 cameras running on my NVR-3216. 5 are Dahua FW2100's and the other two are ESC1's that Empire is working on. I am running six at 720P and one at 1.3 MP to pick more real estate for one camera.

 

I'm new in this area so I havn't fully learned everything but if I view graph on the NVR I see receive speed of 33 Mb/s. I have all the cameras set to 4096 for the bit rate so I I'm not impacted by the limitation yet.
