Anyone out there ever flash the firmware on a Sensormatic SpeedDome directly from a PC?

You might want to check the American Dynamics webpage. In the manual index there is one for the USB dome cable, and there are downloads there with the firmware.

Yes, that's where I was reading about it. It's not clear whether or not you can flash the camera directly, or if you need a USB adapter module.
