jlcctv 0 Posted June 4, 2013 Have installed 50 analogue cameras in School class rooms. 4 Nos. DVRs ( Make Everfocus with 16 Ch Video and 16 Ch Audio and HDMI Output ) have been placed at various floors / locations. Existing Layout : All DVRs are connected to a network switch and Users can browse all cameras on their laptop either directly in browser or through CMS software all on a single screen. Software also has a option to put frames in switching mode. As for Principal's Chamber, have placed a CPU and connected the same to LCD TV through VGA Cable. Installed CMS in CPU and CCTV frames are put on switching option one by one. Is there any other way to connect all DVRs to LCD TV ? Since all DVRs have HDMI output, is there is any way we can connect those DVRs to LCD TV via HDMI cable ? But DVRs are located at longer distances on different floors. Is there any way we can use some hardware converters i.e.network switch to VGA convertor and off to TV ? Or any other suggestion.... objective is to render good audio video on the LCD TV.... Many thanks and regards.
SectorSecurity 0 Posted June 4, 2013 To cover the distance problem you could use an hdmi over CAT5 balun, they aren't the cheapest but would allow you to do what you want. You could also use the BNC output and run coax back to the TV and connect to the AV jacks with an RCA connector.
