adamd 0 Posted November 22, 2005 I am looking for recommendations (brand/model) for a business class DVR that can accommodate 8 indoor analog cameras, and hold between 30-60 days worth of images (i.e. around 1000GB). The cost should be less than $9000.00. (functioning) SNTP (simple network time protocol) and Gigabit ethernet support would be welcome. I am looking for a solution that is stable, reliable, well supported, and has a remote administration interface (i.e. not just a viewer). We are currently using an Everfocus eDR880 that has proven very cumbersome and unreliable. Can anyone report on their experience with a Ganz ZR-DH1621NP-1TB? Is this better in any respect than an Everfocus? Any other DVRs that can be recommended?

AVCONSULTING 0 Posted November 26, 2005 The Ganz is far superior to the Everfocus and their support is excellent. Although for the amount of time you want to record you may have to look into a PC based system because they usually have better compression ratios. For a standalone though the Ganz would be a good choice.
