Help cannot see cams

HI

 

I took my bosses laptop home to clean off malware and clean registry

 

it works great

 

but

 

when i login to his camera system

it connects but i do not see any cams becasue i get a little box that says:

 

'install codec'

 

i can connect and see cams with other computers

 

the laptop is new, windows 7

I re installed windows media player and k-lite

made no difference

 

is this codec something that the webcam server sends out and maybe there is something wrong with the webcam server?

 

or is it the laptop

 

sorry, i do pot know what version of geovision i am using

 

i connect using: xxxx.dipmap.com:81

 

any ideas?

how can I fix?

download a codex install from geovision web site and run on the laptop

click on the video codex tab

 

if that does not work, reinstall the geovision software on the laptop
