K6VYN 0 Posted May 14, 2013 I'm looking for some of you guys to view the still from a camera at my yard and advise on what is wrong, camera is QVIS but don't know exact make. Do I have the correct type of camera or is there something wrong with the set-up of the camera. I cant seem to upload video for you to view, still image only. The comments from the guy dealing with my CCTV are noted below The dynamic wide is a little high, and cause a blur when movement. But it appears to render quite fast and clears up and this is the reason why its so clear. In my honest opinion I would say this was a very good image. For stills its absolutely astonishing image for night time, this image attached would have no trouble standing up in court for instance. Especially under the circumstances where this camera is rendering a quality image while fighting 4 lighting conditions – sodium street light, halide on the building, shadows and its own infra red. My Comment back to this This camera is picking up images from 10ft, in my opinion they are of very poor quality from this distance and the camera is useless from any point of trying to determine who the person would be. The reason for a camera on the gate was always to capture an image and being able to determine who the person was. From 10ft regardless of lighting conditions the correct CCTV camera for the conditions should be able to pick up a clear image of someone regardless of it being a day or night-time image. I know you'd said supplier has advised on this as best camera but is it possible to review the images from the other night with them again for advice. Thanks in advance to anyone from the CCTV forum for advice given. Kevin

The comments from the guy dealing with my CCTV are noted below time to change your guy ....... before you even start looking at cameras I would first see if your DVR records above CIF
