slats 0 Posted November 24, 2005 i have a plug in transformer that went bad,120vac in 16.5vac out 40va what voltage is required for camera and housing with fan and heater. is there a range? i thought that ac cameras were 12 or 24volt? any advice is welcome Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

WirelessEye 0 Posted November 24, 2005 My experience (which is limited with fixed cameras) is that the housing takes 24VAC (for the heater and fan) and the camera takes either 12VDC or 24VAC (or either one). Of course, the heater has the most draw. This probably the only reason 24VAC is necessary for the enclosure, as the fan is generally 12VDC. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
