Recommended Posts

Hello to all members, Here I am telling u my full story........

Few days ago i setup a 8 channel DVR box with 5 cameras, for one of my client. It works Fine. Yesterday i am trying to connect DVR with LAN, I configure IP and some DDNS setting in DVR's Network Setting and save it. But its not working, then I try to configure it again, I reset all setting to default by pressing "Default Setting" button and then save it, after that i exit to menu. I notice that my mouse arrow doesn't appear on the screen, i clicked mouse right button to popup menu but nothing happen, but i am still able to view all cameras. There is no border between cameras, no recording sing, no audio sing, not any icon in the screen, and mouse, remote and DVR's button not working. I switch off DVR and turn it on again, then DVR boots up but no beep sound, all icons appears for few seconds and disappear, now condition is same only cameras picture available, no icon, none of the button works. Now i try to reset the DVR by removing Battery from DVR, but not working. I unplug all cable of cameras, HDD, LAN, and boot it up but no luck. I search the net for this problem but find nothing helpful. Can anybody tell me what happen to DVR and how do i solve it. Please its very argent my client is waiting for me to fix it and i don't know how do i do it.

Thanx in advance I am waiting for ur reply..................... " title="Applause" />

The DVR is China made with no name. At starting it shows H.264 logo.

Does the DVR have more than one output? BNC, VGA, HDMI, etc.

If so, try another output, some DVRs will only show menus on one of the outputs, maybe for some reason when you reset to defaults now the menu is showing on the output you are not currently using.

Looks like you need help from the place that sold it to you. The DVR is probably defective. If your supplier can`t get it working for you then try replacing it with a reliable name brand that can give you support. If you want to save money by supplying cheap Chinese no-name garbage that you aren`t expert with to your clients, you should at least have a large pile of spare cams, DVRs, etc to replace them with. People will end up hating you if you supply them with crap, can`t figure out the problems, have no spares to swap in to keep them happy, and pass the buck on warranty issues. Welcome to the world of business. Caveat emptor.
