paulx420 0 Posted May 17, 2013 HELLO.I HAVE AN APOLLO SHD 16.EVERYTHING IS WORKING FINE.ITS WORKING ON THE LAN AND THE WAN VIA DYNDNS.ONLY RECENTLY I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT THE DVR HAS A EMAIL ALERT FUNCTION AND SINCE THEN I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO SET UP THE NOTIFICATIONS.NO SUCCESS UP UNTIL NOW AND I AM SEARCHING FOR SOME HELP.I HAVE PROVIDED SOME PHOTOS OF MY SETTINGS. I HAVE TRIED VIRGIN MEDIA AND GMAIL SMTP.MY ISP IS VIRGIN MEDIA. Securame 0 Posted May 17, 2013 Do you have your DNS correctly setup on your DVR? With no DNS your DVR is unable to resolve names (like smtp.gmail.com). Check your settings on Additional function -> Preferred DNS.
