How to setup Costco Lorex camera with no nvr?

I can not figure out how to view my Lorex 1080p Costco special without a nvr. It shows up on my network using the Hikvision camera finder software, but the ip address does nothing. I even tried Blue Iris with no luck. Any suggestions?

by default the cameras broadcast

 

the default camera IP is most likely 192.0.0.64

 

The default login is:

UID: admin

PWD: 12345

or

PWD: 000000 (6 zeros)

 

put that in your browser or what ever ip shows up in the camera finder software. There is a port number too maybe port 8000. you also may need to statically assign an ip to your nic that is on the same subnet.

 

example if the cameras are 192.0.0.64 make your nic 192.0.0.1 subnet 255.255.255.0 you can leave gateway blank

I changed the local ip address in my router to 192.0.0.1 and now I can access the camera. Thanks!

does this camera work with xeoma?

Try it, you can download the software for free for 1 camera. You may not find Lorex specifically but it may have Hikvision as a choice that will work or even generic RTSP support.
