Solution for PIR camera and insects at night or rain ..

I am new here and would like to share you a trick I have just found (maybe it has already been mentionned before)

 

I had problems because of insects at night attracted by PIR triggering the motion detection

I also had problems with rain .. triggering also the motion detection ..

 

I found a solution for this :

 

I setup my motion detection software (zoneminder) to trigger only if at least 3 frames are alarmed frames ..

As those rain frames or bugs frames are usually single .. the motion detection is not triggered anymore

 

What is great is that it also solve another probleme linked to my camera which was sending sometimes corrupted frames which also triggers motion detection ...
