EZJ 0 Posted November 25, 2005 I have discussed this concept with a few, but we still haven't been able to crack this shell. Does anyone know of a complete solution that would be compatible with many different types of gas stations?
scottj 0 Posted November 25, 2005 (edited) We use the Geo systems in gas stations and they work flawless. All have the POS overlay and search functions included whether they are using Gilbarco or Ruby POS systems with pump controllers. EZJ 0 Posted November 28, 2005 I hate to admit it, but way over my head Scott. Where could I learn about these systems?
kandcorp 0 Posted November 29, 2005 EZJ, You can find everything you need to know about these systems by searching the forums and the manufacturer's www. We probably do about 80% of our local sales/installs to gas stations/convenience stores. We use our PC based DVR's. Anywhere from 4 channels to 16 channels. The thing with gas station owners is, majority of them are very price conscience about what they spend their money on. You have to start a little higher than your minumum sale price, then you can back down so it seems like they are getting a discount or deal. Works almost everytime. And you have to stress the features and functions of the DVR system you are selling, because they are comparing and most of the time to low end budget systems you would find at Sam's or Costco. Explain what the differences are and make sure they understand everything. We do advertising in a few local reseller magazines that are distributed throughout our area to Gas Stations/ Convenience stores. We advertise a complete solution package and special pricing just for the gas station owners. It gives us great results and a lot of incoming calls. Put together full complete packages , DVR, Cameras, Mounts, Cable, etc. POS (Point of Sale) integration is a bonus too. You can find more info on that in the forums. EZJ 0 Posted January 13, 2006 From what I have been told, it would be best to get "protected brands" Who do you recommend? I am not familiar with Geo Systems. Do they have a website?

scottj 0 Posted January 13, 2006 What do you consider a "protected brand" by definition? Scottj
EZJ 0 Posted January 15, 2006 In my mind something that is not being lowballed on the internet. I'm wanting to do this on the local level. And get the training before I start.
iSpyVision 0 Posted January 15, 2006 Geovision is the way to as you have been advised here. We also use the pricing techique described here and it works everytime. I don't know if you consider geovision a non protected brand but I think its the best system for exactly what you want to accomplish with this customer.
