jlucas 0 Posted May 29, 2013 Hi; can anybody help with advice regarding a cctv monitor that the ability to mirror (horizontally) the video image presented to it. I am in the process of installing two cameras on the opposite side of a paper machine, the reason for placement on the oposite side than on the operators side, is that servicing the present two are very difficult, due to heat extremes and to to gain access requires the use of a gantry crane. When the crane is in the right place to gain access to cameras, its also blocking the image I need to see/set up. In fact its just downright dangerous, I won't go up there again! The position I have choosen is under cover, and on the outside of the building, so no heat issues! I have it all set up, and getting great images, cables have been run in the roof void space to the control room, I could use "old school" crt monitors and swap the horizontal scan coils connections on the plug. But its a new set up, and new monitors would be the way to go (if possible) Thanks in advance
the toss 0 Posted May 29, 2013 Most of the better quality cameras have the abiliy to horizontally "flip" the image if that is what are seeking. I've never seen that function on a monitor.
Kawboy12R 0 Posted May 29, 2013 Some Sharp televisions have the ability to rotate the screen in a mirror arrangement. Not sure how many of them do or if other brands do as well. Might be worth a trip to the local television emporium.
