Werner69 0 Posted June 1, 2013 I just wanted to order Dahua Cameras online and it ask me to choose between PAL or NTSC. Which one should I choose? Does t matter if I use a PC to record? Or if I use NVR? I know I Europe we have PAL and in US NTSC (The cameras are for US... Wisconsin) I thought that this would only be for analog systems... Thank you for your answer.. Werner69 0 Posted June 1, 2013 Thank you. Does it make any difference any more? Don´t all the systems know both already?
blake 0 Posted June 1, 2013 There is still a difference that i know of.
dexterash 0 Posted June 2, 2013 Difference appears in analogic systems (Cams + DVRs). If you are using IP/Megapixel, that should not matter.
Werner69 0 Posted June 2, 2013 Thank you. This is what I thought. I just ordered 5 Cams with NTSC for US. Can I also use them in Europe as I am changing my system in Europe as well? 3 of this one: dahua DH-IPC-HFW3300C Full HD 3 megapxiel IP camera waterproof 3.3~12mm varifocal lens Linovison IPC-VEC8254PF-EI Properties: NTSC and 2 of this one: dahua DH-IPC-HFW3300 H 264 support IR lens full HD 3 Megapixel IP Network Camera I hope they are ok. I just don´t know wheter I shoud use NVR or a PC to record as for me the most important thing is stability and accesss via internet.
Quantum 0 Posted June 2, 2013 I would always install a PeeCee. My backups server also handles the cameras; it is in a small cube case and has a 10TB BTRFS array. It's in the far end of the attic, in case of fire or theft. And it has a SuperMicro mobo which has IPMI, vital for remote management.
buellwinkle 0 Posted June 2, 2013 Get a Hikvision instead and you don't have to decide, it has a drop down so you can chose at anytime.
