amdxp 0 Posted June 11, 2013 i've been a dvr user for quite a while now and just recently transferred to NVR and got a 12 channel {avh 312p} from avtech . problem is im just new with nvr and so far ive tried so many generic brands of ipcams that has onvif support on them but cant seem to make it work.. i updated its firmware already and according to its site it supports onvif compliant ipcams.i have made changes to its ip manually and sometimes it even popups on my ipsearch. bt to no avail no picture. question is, is there really a way to make these 3rd party cams work on an avtech nvr? thanks. i hope someone could help. ssmith10pn 0 Posted June 12, 2013 Strange, Their Compatibility chart shows their cameras with 3rd party NVRs but nothing about their NVRs with third party cameras. http://www.avtech.com.tw/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=129&Itemid=415&lang=en
tomcctv 190 Posted June 12, 2013 supports onvif compliant ipcams Onvif is a little messed up some cameras from china may say Onvif compatable but its just sales crap. you need to pick from avtech list but its limited. ftp://211.75.84.102/Temp/NVR_Compatibility_Public_20121219.pdf
buellwinkle 0 Posted June 12, 2013 If they support generic RTSP, that's usually pretty universal. For example, I use BlueIris software which has a ACTi cameras as a choice through it's video port, but I find I get better video recordings choosing generic RTSP.
