vector18 1 Posted June 18, 2013 If your trying to view your own DVR on your own computer at home on the same network, try using explorer and go to the direct IP of the DVR, not your dyndns domain name. Go into network settings of the DVR and see what IP it is. If you port forwarded any other port but 80 for http, than you need to add that port to the IP. For example, http://192.168.1.200:8081 That is an example of an IP you would enter in explorer to view your own DVR on your own network. Also, make sure you unchecked DHCP in your network settings, you do not want that. You want the IP of your DVR to stay the same.

SectorSecurity 0 Posted June 18, 2013 When you are connected to the same network as the DVR use the IP address of the DVR for example, 192.168.1.101. When you are at home use the domain name you setup, assuming you set it up correctly. You will probably have to make it a socket through like suggested: http://mydvrdomain.com:8081 Replace the above with your domain name and the correct port number. SectorSecurity 0 Posted June 19, 2013 I would not recommend letting someone on the internet remote into your computer, this is just a bad idea in general. Pay someone to finish the setup of your DVR, it should only cost about 50$. Where are you located?
