wkdwrx 0 Posted June 20, 2013 I just upgraded allmy cctv .and put all new cameras up better pic quality . now I was looking into replacing my bnc leads for cat5e I know I have to get RJ45 UTP Video & Power Balun VPB45 but at the end of the day will it also improve my pic quality or just leave it bnc leads ???????????? whats your thoughts Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Securame 0 Posted June 20, 2013 If you only have analog cameras (which I guess you do, if all your cabling is BNC) replacing all the cabling with UTP will not make a difference at all on video quality. The only difference will be if you want to switch to IP cameras in the future; you will have done the job of replacing the cable already. But if you already have all cable in place, you can just leave it as it is, and replace the cable the day you want to go from analog to IP. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
