BFDeal 0 Posted July 4, 2013 Hi everyone. I joined this forum a couple of years ago, but thanks to the wealth of information archived here, I never had to post a question to find the answer I needed. Until now. I've been slowing installing some security cameras around my house for quite some time, and am just now getting them operational. I have a Pelco Esprit that I have had two Samsung cameras fail in--an scb-2000 and an scb-3001. They both worked fine until the first fairly hot afternoon came along. When I noticed that the first one had stopped working, I found that it was too hot to touch, although the inside of the housing seemed to be no more than about 100F. Before it failed, it was only warm to the touch, even though the housing temperature seemed about the same. I think the camera is rated for an ambient of 122F. The second one failed similarly. Does anyone have any experience with these cameras? I live in Western WA, so they don't really have to handle very hot conditions. Thanks.
