Cop1015 0 Posted July 13, 2013 I have decided to upgrade to a HD-SDI system. I would like to get some clarification on a system with a web server built in. Does this mean the DVR would connect to a Internet signal wirelessly? Currently running a 100ft Ethernet cable and having to have a third party domain to supply a static IP address. I would like to eliminate the IP address issue along with the Ethernet cable. How can I solve this issue and any recommendations on brand to get? Thanks
vector18 1 Posted July 13, 2013 Web server means you can open an internet browser and view your cameras instead of needing software to do it. You do not need to pay a 3rd party for a static IP. If configured correctly, your DVR will update your IP to a ddns server for you. Dahua is a good brand for hd-sdi for the money.
