cctv_rookie 0 Posted July 20, 2013 Ok team...I went cheap (yes I know) and bought a Sunvision EasyDVR 5004T-B and a "regular" outdoor dome camera. I used Cat5e baluns and I have power running to the camera however, no picture comes through the DVR. I see the menu but no picture. The distance fromt he camera to the dvr is about 10 feet. Any suggestions besides starting over?
Kawboy12R 0 Posted July 22, 2013 Triplecheck your wire colours with the cat5 if you made your own cable. Also, did you get a video balun or power and video balun? You said you got power to the cam but I'm wondering how. Do you have a bnc cable to use to test the cam with the dvr? Do you have a cat5 cable tester? spider880_1 0 Posted July 28, 2013 I have also just started playing with a Chinese ip camera,it didn't even have a brand name ,but I managed to work it out in the end. The biggest issue I had was with the software they supplied,I ended up downloading new software from a company called ispyconnect.com There are plenty of free downloads out there to try. Mine actually works better on my android phone using an app called ip cam viewer, might also be worth a try Good luck and don't give up its all part of the fun
