spider880_1 0 Posted July 27, 2013 Hi I am trying to run two DVR players on one screen and one mouse,I have managed to get a switch to run the screen, which I can operate manually but the switch won't recognize the mouse. Is it because it doesn't have a windows operating system? Does anyone know,is there a manual switch which will run the two DVR players with one mouse. It can be a manual switch,it would just be better than keep plugging and unplugging usb cables. What you're asking for is called a "KVM Switch" and they are very common, cheap, and readily available. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KVM_switch
spider880_1 0 Posted July 28, 2013 Hi Thanks for the info on the KVM switch. In fact that is what I have been using but it didn't seem to work for the mouse. After reading your comments I decided to have another look and tried it out on an old windows computer .Well it worked fine so I went back to the DVR players and rechecked the wiring .I am embarrassed to say I had mixed up the two usb cables when I had dropped them down below the shelf where the KVM switch is located. I have since corrected this and am pleased to say they are working perfectly know. If you hadn't written back I think I would have still had the problem for sometime.I had so many cables I had just missed it. Thanks again
