Hi

 

can someone tell me what software lets me see that pop up in the top right corner of my DVR screen that shows text readout of my POS transcations?

 

Is it geovision POSiView?

 

I get the pop up when I click on 'POS LIVE' under the round button in v.8.50 that gives me viewlog etc.

It's part of the geovision software. You will also need a dongle on your server.

but do you mean a liscencing dongle?

 

my data capture box is hard wired to my net card on the dvr

and there is a cable from the net card to a com port (USB)

 

we have 2 DVR's

 

so please, what do you mean by dongle? (there are many definitions)

 

I hope you mean by dongle, the cable between the net card and a USB port, that comes supplied with the GV net 3.00 card I bought.

I just heard that I do not need a USB dongle

 

I already have the data capture box, net card and cables?

Sorry, I just realized you had a box. I'm using it without a box.

 

I have a new box sitting here and there is a disk in it that says data capture V3E.

 

Other than that, I'm pretty ignorant. I decided since my registers were networked it was easier to do with the Usb Dongle.
