fattstrat 0 Posted July 31, 2013 I'm not a CCTV guy, but have designed and implemented a system at one of our manufacturing facilities. Now i need help with the external coverage, and have no clue on what types of cameras. I have a decent idea about coverage and have a visio with ideas. Current system is a Titan 8040 and has a load of around 70 MB/s with 48 cameras. I would like to keep the exteranl cameras under 12. I dont think i will have through put problems even with 5MP cameras in some of the locations. if I need additional storage i can add some direct attach storage, but i'm more concerned with cameras. Would also like to stay away from PTZs. please add your input on both types of cameras and their locations. Note there are permanent trailers between cameras 2 and 3, and just north of 4. Also about 6 trailers between the cameras 8 and 9 on the East side. Check color photo- Here are the viewing angles and distances i would like to cover. Camera 1 (NW corner) -view 60 degrees -distance 175 ft Camera 2 -View 80 degrees -Distance 100 ft Camera 3 -80 deg -distance 100ft Camera 4 -80 degrees -distance 150ft Camera 5 -30 degrees -250 ft Camera 6 -30 degrees -250 ft Camera 7 -80 degrees -150 ft Camera 8 -80 degrees -150 ft Camera 9 -80 degrees -150 ft Camera 10 -60 degrees -100 ft Camera 11 -30 degrees - 250 ft
JohnnyCCTV 0 Posted August 1, 2013 The Specs on this camera seem like they would work for all of FOV's. The IR range though is maxed out at 105'. I have used seen this camera and demo'd it. It has some great features, ZOOM (digital and opitical), WDR (it will clean up most areas to give you a great picture), SOLID light technology (it helps when IR is on and will actually enhance the image better than normal IR). It has a Power over Coax feature but you can still connect it over CAT5 0r 6 cable you just will have a supply power to the camera normally. Good luck hope this helps. fattstrat 0 Posted August 2, 2013 Johnny, thanks for the info. I will look into the camera. On first glance i'm a little suspicious about the integration since AVTech isn't listed in the supported cameras for nuuo. Here is what i have, although i would think any thing Onvif would work.
