swolski 0 Posted July 31, 2013 what i am having a problem with i have the entire system hooked up to 2 diff tvs in my living room each showing 4 channels, one tv in my bedroom and one in my moms room these tvs each have 4 channels from the 2 diff receivers. i am trying to run a 100 ft extension to my shed in the back to 2 tvs and i have two cat5e cables ran one for each balun. but once i hook up the baluns from the splitters and go see if i have a signal out in my shed its nothing so i tried hooking my ps3 up to the hdmi balun and my computer to the vga balun and i got a signal which tells me the baluns and cat5e cables are working correctly. Is this a compatibility issue with the splitter and baluns not working together? or am i just an idiot? lowpro 0 Posted July 31, 2013 In the past I ran into something similar with going about 55 feet. I found out my dvr wasn't putting out enough power to extend the hdmi. The solution that I found was to use an active (powered) hdmi extender. But it looks like you are already doing that, based on the monoprice link that you provided.
