David Platts 0 Posted August 2, 2013 was woundering if i could have some possible advice on the following: - I have a cctv camera which has power cables feeding it traveling through a water table - this means that water is traveling up the cable and pertruding the camera, because of this the camera is not operating as it should, is there some form of humidiffier that can be installed on this to rectify this issue. Hi. can you give more detail of how camera is fitted and located. reason why I ask is cable as far down as water table seems odd. plus even if water was getting into cable it in its self would still not fill camera (unless camera is also below water table)
SectorSecurity 0 Posted August 2, 2013 Are you sure the water is coming from the cable and not another source? Did you install an actual outdoor IP (IK I think in the UK) rated camera?
David Platts 0 Posted August 2, 2013 Yes camera is ip rated and way above water table, it's not filling with water just misting up

tomcctv 190 Posted August 2, 2013 The camera is located at top of camera pole Hi then your water problem is not from water table. bad seal on camera or fixings
