mav 0 Posted August 3, 2013 Where do you see that this is 3 axis? I just see a manual vari-focal adjustment...
zikronix 0 Posted August 3, 2013 Where do you see that this is 3 axis? I just see a manual vari-focal adjustment... I meant to say "if" its a three axis. I edited my post to reflect that. I couldnt find the appropriate hikvision. The issue I have is that acti has cameras that are literally only 30.00-50 more and might be a better buy, granted they are not varifocal so one would have to take that into account. I understand is a big difference. However, for those of us that it doesnt matter for. It might be a better buy to pick up a 3 axis, camera, fixed thats a true 3MP for a just a bit more. I dont need vari focal, so for me the acti d72, e72 are potentially a better buy. but one would have to compare and contrast which one is a better buy/image quality
drdave 0 Posted August 4, 2013 In another thread, I was reading about a new offering from HIKvision. This new Swan appears to be the DS-2CD2732F-I. A good picture and specs are available at: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/HIKVISION-30-meters-1080P-IR-dome-network-cameras-support-POE-DS-2CD2732F-I/420258_1077716612.html This looks to be another in the DS-2CD2X32F series. So it will be the same imager/software as the popular Swan Bullet. I expect we should be able to flash this to 3MP. There is a -S option that adds audio and alarm for this model, tho I doubt this one has it.

Good news, It is a 3 axis, it has an sd slot, if you had the cables the headers are there for the audio and alarm, infact it talks about it in the manual, saying not to connect them. Review and pics shortly
650HPAMG 0 Posted August 12, 2013 Would be awesome if they could indeed be flashed to 3mp. Keep us up to date, thanks.
buellwinkle 0 Posted August 13, 2013 From the version number, I would think it's the same raptor firmware.

Review and pics shortly Hi Zikronix, do you have any idea what kind of microphone or adapter I can use with this header? (or could you tell me the technical name for it) At first when I opened the camera and saw that kind of connection I thought the factory forgot a cable or something! The IP cameras I had work with usually takes RCA or even 3.5mm, but I guess I will try to find a cable that fits in this header on one side and is RCA on the other... Thank youu
zikronix 0 Posted August 28, 2013 No clue...im sure poking around in tech docs might be able to find it though
shockwave199 0 Posted August 28, 2013 If you're talking about a wire block on the camera, you can use this with any cctv mic that is rca and it works fine. You'll still need to power the mic, but this will serve as the audio connection from the mic to the camera- http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102959 In fact if memory serves, cctv mics have a male connector so you'll also need a gender adapter to connect the two- cheap and simple. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102696

It looks like i can disconnect the cables i need from the block and just splice it to the mic + and mic -. I will get some audio-cable and try. Thank you so much for your help. Must I use speaker cable or can I use cat5e/ coxaial /red/black power cable? I was still hoping hikvision makes one or would include a cable that fits that wire-block and then have the audio/alarm input on the other end... I guess with Cat5 I have to use baluns though... General Custer 0 Posted October 12, 2013 New user here. Picked up one of these and the image is great. Couple of questions. Any idea what brackets are available to flush mount this camera in a ceiling? I cant get this camera to be seen from outside my network with the hikvision app. It works inside. Do I have to forward the HHTP, RTSP, HTTPS and the sdk ports to the camera on the router or one of them specifically. Anyone know how to add audio in simple laymans terms with specific parts i can find online? Thanks Custer
