How to choose a camera

So much information on cameras, but I can't seem to find many reviews or direct comparisons. I have what I think is a great DVR (16 channels, 2 terabytes of storage, remote access, all sorts of bells and whistles) but I want to buy the right cameras.

I have some Armor Dome Cameras, 1/3" CCD sensors, 600 tvl 36 IR lamps, 3.6 fixed lens. I only paid $30 each, new. Now I want to install a second system at a different location, same DVR. Can't get the same cameras any more.

While shopping, I came across some "new features", like SUPER HAD and EFFIO. I need inside and outside cameras with Night vision capability.

Can you give me some insight as to how to choose the right cameras? What should I be looking for?

I am sorry if this is a really basic question, I hope I have posted it in the proper location.
