should be the same as this

http://www.ezcctv.com/product/DS-2CD2632F-IS-1150.htm

so i had them apart to set focal length and focus, and realized theres 2 little motors in there by the focus/ focal length rings, firmware doesnt' give me options to move them. Will get some pictures tonight, but does anyone think that these motors can get me focus/focal length adjustments?

could be the mechanical IR filter piece, and one could be the vairfocal. But that would require the nvr to support it. If there is an option in the web view to " enable it" the option might appear in the nvr

One's probably the IR filter, as Zikronix said. Sometimes, the IR filter is between the lens and the sensor, other times (like the Dahua 3300C), it's built into the lens and looks like it should be a zoom or focus control. If the lens is auto-iris, this would also require a set of wires and a motor.

I don't see motorized zoom or focus in the description, so it's unlikely you have them.

Their other bullets specify motorized focus/focal length but not this model but if it is motorized, it should give you menu item to focus. What did Swann support say about how to set the focal length and focus these cameras?

It was suggested Auto Iris

Thanks, most likely is auto iris and ir filter

on the good note, i managed to get camera side motion detection on these working with my synology surveillance station.

working on the mini bullets and domes, but they appear to not work at all as they should, must be some quirks in the way lorex did things. The swann was easy as copying the higher end models code, and changing the model number

You can try loading the most current Hikvision firmware on the Lorex and see if that helps.

already done, they all take the same firmware, the swann full size bullet, the lorex mini bullet and the lorex dome, they all take the same hikvision firmware

yet the same surveillance station config won't work for all of them, trying to tinker with this a bit.

Here's the Dahua HFW3300C varifocal lens, as a comparison. One connection is for the IR filter, which is part of the lens on this camera, and the other is the iris.

Most lenses have the IR filter separate, but vendors seem to be moving towards integrated IR filters on varifocal lenses to save money, likely on the theory that the lenses are much less likely to be swapped. Finding a replacement for this would be tricky, as you'd have to match both the IR and auto-iris drive signals and connectors.
