richmt11 0 Posted August 19, 2013 Hello All, Please forgive any ignorance of mine as i have tried google and youtube (my usual haunts) and not found enough clear cut information for me. So i literally did a search of CCTV forum and this came up. So background on me, i am a multi-skilled engineer working within a company producing consumer goods in the UK. And am currently positions as the Engineering Supervisor responsible for a 30 man engineering team. I need to start a capital project on site for a complete CCTV system. I have looked here; http://www.cctvdirect.co.uk/products/Platinum-Dominator-16-Internal-Dome-Camera-CCTV-Kit-with-Full-D1-Realtime-Professional-DVR.html and if i buy 3 kits and additional cable etc i can then get the lads to run them round cabling etc and then get onto the network on site and all that good stuff. Now here are my real questions. I have a £10,000 budget for the project. I can get our onsite labour to carry out (within reason) so ideally i would like to spend no more than £8,000 on materials, leaving some for additional labour and materials as necessary. So is the stuff i am looking at any good, or should i be taking a different direciton? Also i have approximately 6 of the cameras external, and can get poer there but would much prefer a wireless signal, is this possible? And finally of the required cameras approximately 6 would need to be speed dome so they cam be run on a programmed loop or remotely controlled as necessary. Thanks and i appreciate any help. Thanks, Rich
joseph.chen0312 0 Posted September 3, 2013 Hello Rech, Most of all is fine for you posted thread. And I have check detailed on DVR which you listed and over all seems fine. You know, all need to on-site test for make sure capability is reach scratch you want. With regarding external camera hook up Wireless, you can search some wifi pair device one is encode and another is decode then connect DVR. PTZ all you can connect to RS-485 pole then default each title to identify at DVR for control.
