Samsung SHR-5042 - cant view

Hi

 

I apologise in advance for what a technophobe I am! I am desperate for some help though if possible.

 

We've bought a Samsung SHR-5042 DVR and cameras for our shop, as a young guy came in and went on a rampage in it with a hammer and smashed all the windows when we asked him to take his can of stella outside. We got someone in to wire them all up and for about a day, we could view the pics via a webpage but now we can't. Now we are getting a black screen instead of any camera views. The bloke who we paid to set them up can't help any further and we don't know whats gone wrong - can anyone give any advice please? I can find out more information if you need it but I'm not sure what would be useful.
