My customer asked for mega pixel camera. Does HDTV 1080p camera considere as megapixel? data sheet for this camera does not say this.

you have to see what the sensor is rated for, i've seen a lot of ratings that say hdtv 1080p, but in the end they aren't always megapixel

 

it is a mega pixel camera when it has more then a million pixels for resolution

for example, camera that works at 1920x1080 resolution = 2.07 megapixels, give or take a few.

Technically, both 720p (1MP) and 1080p (2MP) are megapixel.
