fisma 0 Posted August 23, 2013 I install IP camera system on marked. Except having monitor in his room customer also wants to install big tv on the wall. By this way everybody will see that there is a camera system installed. Distance between my Dahua NVR and TV will be around 20m. May I use HDMI cable to achieve this task? fisma 0 Posted August 25, 2013 So the fact that cable will be 20-25m long isn't problem?
jeromephone 6 Posted August 25, 2013 yes it can be a problem you may need an extender to push the HDMI over 15 feet or so.

PokerMunkee 0 Posted August 25, 2013 My NVR (3XLOGIC's Vigil) at home is running on a custom built mini atx box with Windows 7. I put my cameras in a grid and have the NVR software on full screen mode. The computer has a HDMI video port. I have this HDMI port going into a HDMI splitter. From there, I have a HDMI cable going to two of my LCD TVs in the house. If I want to bring up cameras, I just select HDMI2 on either TV. HDMI cable to my bedroom from splitter is 25'. The one going to my main TV in living room is 75' (has some special thing in it, got it off amazon). Works great. I also can use it for HTPC functions (mainly music). I have a wireless keyboard/mouse combo that I can use anywhere to do PC functions. If I want my NVR on a computer, I just install the Vigil client. Here is a picture of my 32" LCD in the bedroom with two of my cameras showing (other 2 cams are down due to needing the switch elsewhere): Hopefully this helps.
