JoeyJoey 0 Posted August 24, 2013 Thanks I have Hikvision version V2.3.3 build 130620 on the Lorex right now. I have tried Hikvision version V2.3.3 build 130604 also. Also Hikvision version V2.2.4 build 130328, which looked very much like the original Lorex firmware. I have been looking at different versions, to see what broke what and when the network settings broke for the auto setup of cameras. It works in v2.2.4, not after that. evnldr 0 Posted April 23, 2014 Is it still in need of contacting hikvision for reset or is it a direct update? Either one of them I also just got the LNR382C4B I think its a LNR300 NVR
JoeyJoey 0 Posted April 23, 2014 Is it still in need of contacting hikvision for reset or is it a direct update?Either one of them I also just got the LNR382C4B I think its a LNR300 NVR You might need to re-unlock the NVR after updating to the latest firmware from Hikvision, but I don't know. I would bank on that you do need to do it just incase. They might've have fixed that error by now seeing as yours is the same hard but with different firmware, their auto cloud configuring version. evnldr 0 Posted April 26, 2014 I'm skeered maybe I will stick to V2.3.3 build 130620 that works 100% after admin reset? or is there a newer one that works 100%? If I kill it I will be sol, I use them to much to have it die. The newer one I have is not mine I'm just setting it up.
JoeyJoey 0 Posted April 26, 2014 I don't know really, but Lorex posted an update to their firmware. Maybe their version is a modified old version that doesn't require a reset. http://www.lorextechnology.com/Security+camera+system+Wireless+camera+system/Security+NVR+with+IP+cameras/prod360017.p?skuId=LNR282C4B
evnldr 0 Posted April 27, 2014 YEY!! After the lorex update my Hikvision cam wont connect. AND!!! I lost my 1:5 view now I'm stuck with 2:2 or 3:3 I have 6 cameras. Are you upgrading via web log in under maintenance / upgrade? If so all firmware I tried failed. Failed via the nvr itself maybe the new lorex firmware killed the update ability. Had to use ONVIF and port 80 to get the hikvision cam running.
evnldr 0 Posted May 9, 2014 How are you guys getting the firmware working, you using the local NVR or via IVMS?
JoeyJoey 0 Posted May 9, 2014 I have updated the firmware via the NVR's web interface and perform a reset to defaults after updating. Before that I save my config to a file, just incase I have to go back to a previous version.

JoeyJoey 0 Posted May 16, 2014 Just tried this update, it fails at 80% updating.
evnldr 0 Posted May 16, 2014 All the ones posted in this thread have failed before it even began.. If I remember it says firmware mismatch..
JoeyJoey 0 Posted May 16, 2014 Well, I had just had some fun. Updating to this version almost bricked the NVR. I had to use the tftp method to perform a firmware recovery, never done that on an NVR before. Here is something new that works in the NVR code, being able to edit the camera settings. But... one issue I have now, trying to figure out it. A single Chinese sourced (from a US store) Hikvision camera isn't being detected by the NVR, can't add it manually, hmm. Working on it. evnldr 0 Posted May 16, 2014 Oh my!!!!!..... Makes loopback not needed A+ will have to check the tftp method I don't have any cheap cams ... yet.. The lorex firmware I had to add my Hikvision cam manually
JoeyJoey 0 Posted May 16, 2014 Weird stuff.... I set the Chinese Hikvision to manual config as a Hikvision, left it over night, online. After a few reboots, all is good.
