Surveillance camera to computer

I wanted to know if there is anyway that I can use any of the Night Owl cameras or any type of surveillance camera to record to my computer. And then connect that to my computer and record to my computer hard drive. I know I'll be able to gt it connected to my computer. Also was looking at using Windows media center as the software to record. Or if you know of any easier/better way to get it done, like using a video capture card instead of the T.V tuner

 

Basically, I'm just looking for any way to connect the Night Owl cameras to my computer and record.

 

I emailed night owl tech support and they were clueless and offered no help, so any help would be appreciated.

I don't know about night owl but a regular analog camera can be recorded using any number of devices such as grabee just google "analog camera capture for PC"

Thanks for your response. Do you know what type of connection those analog cameras have. Also, is there one that you would recommend? I'm trying to spend as little as possible, though I know you get what you pay for. Some of the ones that I think you were referring too were like $200 for one camera. I just need something that can see in the dark up to 100 feet, also I don't need for it the have sound. Thanks.

you should be able to find something for around 100.00 look at some of the banner ads on this site plus ADI and Scansource, Tri ed often has specials that should get you a camera in that price range.
