How do I change the boot logo / splash screen on a CCTV H.264 DVR running embedded BusyBox Linux.

 

I have root access to the box and have found a pile of .gif image files in /mnt/pic but none of these are the screen that is shown at boot up

 

does anyone know the file format and location
