Numb-nuts 1 Posted October 1, 2013 I agree their equipment is massively overpriced for what it is. They rely on customers not knowing what they are really buying and what specs are important. They market the goods to best suit themselves, however they are a retail outlet, so this should hardly come as a surprise to anyone. On a positive note, Maplin can and do offer excellent customer support, especially with CCTV products. If you are doing your installation and setup yourself then you may appreciate their support more than perhaps someone that is more experienced. I remember the first time I was called out to setup a Maplin system for the internet viewing, I hadn't a clue about the software and apps they used so I called Maplin support to ask.
