SicilianDragon 0 Posted August 31, 2013 Hi Gurus, What POE switches (4 - 8 ports) brand and model you recommend for ACTI dome IP Cameras? I am using Cisco SG series on my network and will have around 50 IP Cameras. I read on some post about some POE switches that is not industrial grade that supply less power than the IP camera needed. Dr3am 0 Posted September 6, 2013 All of the commercial grade PoE switch's have an allowance of 15.4 watts per port. Use 2-24 port GBE and 1-4 port GBE Zyxel PoE switch's with RJ-45 SFP's to tie the network together. This way it will be a gigabit network. 50 IP camera's is alot so gigabit will def speed it up.
