1. how to improve the quality without change the position of the camera(reduce the distance)?

- using d1 resolution dvr?

- if yes any recommendation for 4 or 8 channel cctv?

- other suggestion?

2. any recommendation for cctv hdd? i gonna use wdc red edition, i think those red edition good and silent for cctv dvr

3. what the function of ips 100,200,400 and camera rate 9600,17200, etc

See a license plate 18 feet away recording at CIF resolution with a $30 camera?

A D1 DVR would be a good start, yes. Go for 4ch D1 100fps or 8ch D1 200fps. WD Red hard drive is fine for a DVR. Hopefully with D1 and a 2.8-12mm camera at maximum zoom you can see something.

that's why i want to upgrade the system

but i don't know where to start

d1 100 fps? or 200fps? what brand?

why not just 30fps? i knew people recommended minimum 30fps d1 cause some dvr not capable up to 30fps

is it true? still lot's of bad d1 dvr out there?

what minimum fps acceptable for d1? 15 fps maybe or 23fps? to preserve video filesize

any recommended varifocal? or mine good enough for the task?

cannot zoom too much

from above pic, i still need to show the fence gate to see people coming in and out

100fps or 200fps will depend on how many channers you get. If you want 4ch, it will be 100fps (25fps each channmel=, if you get 8ch, it will be 200fps. I am thinking PAL here since I do not know what country you are from, if you use NTSC, then it will be 4ch/120fps and 8ch/240fps. PAL is 25fps/channel, NTSC is 30fps/channel.

If you want to see the full gate and also license plates on the other side of the street; I think you are going to have a hard time geting it right (I actually think you will not get it right, but hey, you already have the camera, so go ahead and try).

i see...

OMG

just contacted with my cctv seller

offer 300$ for 4 channel realtime d1 dvr

then they offered me to use ip camera for 200$ 1.3 megapixel

maybe i need to import the cctv from ebay or online shop

but my varifocal from local vendor got more better quality than ebay

dunno why

looks like ip camera really good solution too

since i got 24hours/7 days non stop pc

maybe i could use the pc for nvr ip camera

btw anyone know the reason for this blur image?
