Dahua IP Camera motion detection email/attachment issue

Hi folks,

 

I have few Dahua IPC-HFW2100 cameras. I have setup motion detection email on them. I seem to get this 1 email every time someone shows up in front of camera but there are no attachments attached with the email.

 

Under Camera then Video then Snapshot, I have 'event' selected. Although every time I close the browser (IE or Firefox) or even go to another menu and come back to this menu, it always shows 'General' instead of 'Event'

 

Have the SMTP email setup correctly as well as I can send/receive emails and attachments box is ticked.

 

Have motion detection enabled along with ticks on Send Email and Snapshot.

 

I even updated the firmware but still same issue.

 

Anyone else had/have this issue? Sounds like a firmware issue?

I have the same camera and I can confirm this problem. No attachment at all.

It's posibble to get mail with (screen/snapshot from camera) ?

Did you check the SSL box?

I have Authentication - SSL, and Attachment is marked.

I have the same issue. Seems I get 2 emails with the motion detect and then motion stop, but never a snapshot. I just got this camera and I need this function.

has anyone resolved this issue? having the same problem with HIKVISON cams and a rebranded Dahua DVR

 

also, can't figure out how to get the snapshot function to save to disk

Who is your smtp server or your email provider? Try using Gmail if you can and see if that helps.
