Installation issues with HDD

Hi

 

I have just upgraded my DVR from a KGuard 4ch to an 8ch system.

I cannot get the SATA HDD (WD 500gb) from the old dvr to be recognised in the new one, even after a fresh format.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Tried a different, newer HDD, works fine!
