Avigilon ACC keeps changing WAN to LAN

Recommended Posts

An Aviligon Client is connected to three servers, one server is local on the LAN and the other two are remote. Each time ACC is started, one of the remote connections is changed from WAN to LAN. I have to use File->Manage Server Connections to change it back to WAN. I also have to kill all the cameras from that server in every view and then add them back; otherwise, the timer graphic spins forever and the cameras never display. Any idea why that one server connection keeps changing from WAN to LAN and how to fix this? The other remote server does not do this.

Best,

Christopher

Describe the remote connection.

Over the internet with ports punched through a firewall?

VPN over the internet?

Direct link?

Also did you turn off auto discovery on the client?

Over the internet with ports punched through a firewall. Where is the setting for auto discovery? I'm using ACC 4.12.

It is possible to stop Auto discovery at Client or Server level

it's done by editing Configuration file

If u need it

I think it works like this but I would have to call support to confirm

WAN = UDP

LAN = TCP

If I set the port forward on the remote server to TCP or TCP/UDP, the client will connect but will set the client speed to LAN which I then have to change to WAN. If I set the port forward to UDP, then ACC will not connect.
