Which DVR

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

as per the intro, i'm venturing into this world of CCTVs and need some help please.

i hope to install a CCTV system at my residence. its a standard semi-d with a car parked in the front drive way, just that there's been a few burglaries around so i just thought its better to be safe than sorry.. atleast by adding another significant deterrent!

so here i am, looking for my first CCTV. from what i have read so far, i'd like to go for HD quality but i feel its too expensive. also NVR or DVR? again due to cost i feel i'd just settle for a DVR.

here's what 'i think' i'm looking for:

- Ability to record 4 cameras at 700TVL, 25fps

- well.. everythig else is pretty much standard as i've seen; including ability to view on the internet/mobile

in terms of installation - well im a novice but i eagerly await another diy job!

the biggest question is then, which DVR, which supplier?

pls help

cheers

j

Hi. with your budget I would go hybrid mix of both MP and analog.

your cost of systems listed 500 to 700 is too high for analog with 4 cameras. same budget will get you better.
