icom102 0 Posted October 15, 2013 My cctv guy says no matter what i use i wont get great night time viewing with out having to install lighting hay does cameras have irs if you need to put in lighting to light the place up Well, he is right in a certain kind of way, if you have good lightings when your HD camera capture the events, it will be in color. If not you will only see black & white like this. What make of camera is this?

I am looking for a 8 Channel HD-SDI DVR with 2TB and a couple of anti vandal dome SDI cameras my shotgun cable is already in place with D1 cameras can I still use my existing D1 cameras on the HD-SDI DVR? Actually brand is not as important as the chipset use, I find Panasonic CMOS with Eyenix is very nice while the Nextchip NVP2400 has big problem on night view. Newer Nextchip seems to have address this problem, NVP2421 & NVP2410 and also have real WDR instead of D-WDR. Existing analog camera cannot be use with SDI Dvr. msecure 0 Posted November 11, 2013 How about a Hybrid HD-SDI DVR? how do they work? which one will do what I need? I don't know about others but mine is 4ch SDI while the rest of the 12ch is up to 960h, total 16channel.
isoplus3513 0 Posted November 11, 2013 There are some hybrid (HD-SDI & analog) DVRs available. Unix CCTV sells one called Magic, I believe... You can keep your existing cameras and just change disired ones to HD-SDI.
