chubby_ninja 0 Posted October 11, 2013 Hi all, trying to set this up and I think I'm just missing a few small details. A bit of history... Helping a friend set up a swann 4 camera system: http://www.swann.com/s/products/view/?product=1595 this is the system as far as I am aware I'm going to go back tonight with a monitor and vga cable to check all the settings on the box as the HDMI doesn't work on his TV; the TV is a cheapo Techniks and probably 720p not 1080p, not sure if its just a resolution issue but that's just another niggle that can be resolved later. I can view the camera in the swanndvr software on the laptop - yay result, so local config is good, but I can't get the remote config yet. Things I've done... Plugged everything in and connected one camera for testing installed the swanndvr software on his laptop installed swannview on his android tablet and added the ddns swanndvr.net settings. registered ddns at swanndvr.net port forwarded the ports I've read a few posts already, I will also try DMZ, the router is an Orange BrightBox I will set the swanndvr box to a static IP not DCHP Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
